(en) Alina Herta (born 1996, Hateg) is a visual artist whose practice naviguates between photography, print, and the moving image. Trained in graphic design at UQÀM (2018), she gradually shifted toward freer forms through collaborations within Montreal’s independent art scene. Drawn to alternative approaches to image-making, Alina favors analog media and their potential for serendipity. She approaches the camera as both a tool for observation and a means of engaging with the unknown. Her practice is grounded in a deep appreciation for slowness and is marked by careful attention to materiality. Through her work, she seeks to sharpen the gaze and encourage a richer, more nuanced interpretation of reality.
